Mr. Joel Adebare Atoyebi is a lecturer of Yoruba Culture, Oral Literature and Incantatory Poetry at the department of Linguistics and Nigerian Languages, University of Ilorin, He is currently the 400 level adviser of Yoruba language students.
He assumed office as an Assistant Lecturer in 2001 and since then has moved up to the rank of Lecturer I.
He had his Bachelor’s degree at Obafemi Awolowo in the year 1985 and proceeded to pursue his Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) in 1993 at University of Ilorin and later had his Master’s degree at University of Ibadan in 1996. He is currently undergoing his M.Phil/Ph.D programme at University of Ilorin, Ilorin.
