Biography

Nwosu, Florence Chika is a lecturer in the Department of Linguistics and Nigerian Languages, Faculty of Arts, University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Nigeria. She obtained her first degree in Linguistics and Igbo language in 2002, from the University of Nigeria, Nigeria. She had her Master’s degrees in Industrial and Labour Relations in 2006; and Applied Linguistics in 2012, both from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria. Her Ph.D programme in Applied Linguistics is ongoing. Her scholarly articles focus on Sociolinguistics, Applied Linguistics, and Language teaching. Nwosu, Florence Chika is a member of the Igbo Studies Association (ISA), Nigeria Association of Language Educators (NALE), and Institute of Management Consultants – Nigeria (IMC-Nigeria). She renders her community services as a Test Developer, Moderator, and Resource person with the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB). Among her administrative responsibilities in the Department of Linguistics and Nigerian Languages, University of Ilorin, include: level advisor, Welfare committee member, coordinator, Quiz and Debate, and students’ clearing officer.
