Christiana Taiwo Babatunde is a Lecturer 1 in the Department of Linguistics and Nigerian Languages at the University of Ilorin Nigeria. She received her M.A. in Yorùbá literature from the University of Ilorin in 2009. Christiana Babatunde’s research focuses on Yorùbá literature both written and oral. She has worked on topics involving Yorùbá oral performance, Character Moulding in the Traditional Yorùbá society, Yorùbá culture of morality, and Philosophical thoughts in Yorùbá Written Poetry. The main research project on her Ph.D at the moment focuses on the hermeneutics study of the philosophical thoughts in the selected Yorùbá written poetry. She is a member of the Yorùbá Studies Association of Nigeria (YSAN) and the Association of Teachers of the Yorùbá Language.
