Bukunmi OGUNSOLA is a post-Fulbright Scholar in the Department of Linguistics and Nigerian Languages, Faculty of Arts, University of Ilorin. He holds Bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Linguistics from the University of Ibadan. He’s a Doctoral Candidate at the University of Georgia, USA. His research interest lies in the intersection of linguistics, language and education, multiple literacy, literacy practices, multilingualism, and nexus of literacies and linguistic practices. He possesses deep appreciation for the role of language in human experience, in the process of learning to read and write, and language documentation. He curated an audiovisual corpus of Len-Mambila archived with the Endangered Languages Archive (ELAR) a digital repository for preserving multimedia collections of endangered languages. As Fulbright Instructor at the University of Georgia (2019-2020), he served as language Instructor, facilitated language tabling and Yoruba culture ambassador on University Campus. He was Instructor of Record (2020-2022) with the African Studies Institute, University of Georgia where he employs humanizing ways to introduce Africa to students through an inquiry about the peoples, their histories, languages, and ways of being and doing, the spaces, place, and landscape of the continent. Also, he served as Instructor of Record (2022-2024) with the Department of Language and Literacy Education, University of Georgia teaching pre-service elementary teachers language and culture in classroom. He a member of academic associations; Linguistics Association of Nigeria (LAN), American Association of Applied Linguistics (AAAL), American Educational Research Association (AERA), American Association of Teachers of Yoruba (AATY), and Fulbright Language Scholars Association of Nigerian (FULSAN). Aside academics, he is a member Board of Advisor of Domicile of Success Organization (DOSO) a Non-profit organization located in Mwanza-Tanzania working to support vulnerable children, youths, women and people with disabilities
