Dr.Florence Chika NWOSU is a lecturer of Linguistics and Igbo language in the Department of Linguistics and Nigerian Languages, Faculty of Arts, University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Nigeria. She obtained her first degree in Linguistics and Igbo language in 2002, from University of Nigeria, Nigeria. She had her Ph.D and Master degrees in Applied Linguistics in 2023 and 2012 respectively, from University of Ilorin, Nigeria. Her scholarly articles focus on Sociolinguistics, Applied Linguistics and Igbo language.
Nwosu, Florence Chika is a member of Igbo Studies Association (ISA), Nigeria Association of Language Educators (NALE), and Institute of Management Consultants – Nigeria (IMC-Nigeria). She renders her community services as a Test Developer, Moderator and as a Resource person with Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB). Among her administrative responsibilities in the Department of Linguistics and Nigerian Languages, University of Ilorin, include: Level Advisor; Welfare Committee Coordinator; Coordinator, Quiz and Debate; Secretary, Departmental Quality Assurance Committee; Secretary, Departmental PG Board Committee; and students’ clearing officer. Also, at the Faculty level, she is a member of Faculty Students and Staff Relations Committee; a member of Faculty Community Relations Committee; and a member of Faculty University Undergraduate Project Committee.
