Adefunke Kehinde Adebayo is a Lecturer in the Department of Linguistics and Nigerian Languages at the University of Ilorin Nigeria. She received her M.A in Yorùbá literature from the University of Ilorin in 2009. Adefunke Adebayo’s research focuses on Yorùbá literature both written and oral. She has worked on topics involving Yorùbá oral performance, Aesthetics in the Traditional Yorùbá society, Yorùbá films and festivals, Philosophical thoughts in Yorùbá Written Poetry. She is a member of the Yorùbá Studies Association of Nigeria (YSAN) and Association of Teachers of the Yorùbá Language and Culture of Nigeria.
