Adeyemi, Roheemat Olabimpe is a lecturer 1 at the University of Ilorin, in the Department of Linguistics and Nigerian Languages, Faculty of Arts. She received her M.A. in Yoruba literature in the year 2009 at the University of Ilorin and also an MPA in 2010 at the same University. Roheemat focuses her research on Yoruba Oral and written literature and she has worked on research topics involving features of Oríkì Aláàfin, Pragmatic studies of orature, Lexicostatistics study of some extinct and near-extinct words in Yorùbá, Linguistics analysis of Oríkì Aláàfin, role of traditional rulers in conflict management in Yorubaland, aspect of language and cultural endangerment in Yoruba amongst others. Her main research project as a PhD topic at the moment is the Speech act study of the features of Oyo palaces Orature.
