Hezekiah Olufemi Adeosun is a Professor of Yoruba Studies & Socio-semiotics in the Department of Linguistics and Nigerian Languages, University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Nigeria. He holds a Ph.D. from University of Ilorin (2013). He was the Ag. HOD (2017-2019). He is currently Director, Institute of Translation Arts, UNILORIN. His current research interest is on Poetry and Socio-semiotics. He was appointed a full Professor in 2019. He has taught at the University level for 22 years. He is the author of the two books entitled ‘Socio-semiotic Theory and Practice in Yoruba Written Poetry ‘ and ‘Gender Discourse in Yoruba Written Poetry’ published by Lap Lambert Academic Publishing.
