Kamar Adewale RAFIU is a Professor in the Department of Linguistics and Nigerian Languages, Faculty of Arts, University of Ilorin, Nigeria.

He has served as Head of Department, Postgraduate Coordinator and Examination Officer. He is currently Faculty Representative on the Board of Postgraduate School. His areas of research interest cover Phonetics, Phonology and Sociolinguistics-endangered languages and language documentation.  

He has to his credit over forty publications in reputable journals and chapters in books. He has successfully supervised many postgraduate students (Master and Ph.D.). Professor Wale Rafiu is a member of many professional bodies within and outside Nigeria.
